The red route takes approximately 1h45 and the blue route approximately 2h15. Depending on how many stops you get off at and how long you stay will determine how long the tour will last.

Walking Tour (Oct-April) - departs from Al Fahidi Fort (Dubai Museum) stop 3 and finishes at Dubai Gold Souk stop 6 (where you rejoin your Big Bus tour). The Dubai Museum and the Sheikh house are self guided tours, you will get off the bus at the stop explore the areas on your own then return to the stop to continue on with the tour. From 1st July 2006 the tours will operate every 60 minutes on the Red route and every 60 Minutes on the Blue route.

Dhow Creek Cruise - the Big Bus Arabian Dhow Cruise Daily departs from Abra Station stop 7 @ 11.30, 13.30, 15.30 and 17.30 . You get off at the closest stop to the cruise, board the boat on your own where there is a recorded commentary about the rivers history. The cruise takes about 1 hour.
PS: If you take the cruise at 17:30 the big bus finishes for the day while you are on the cruise and you will have to catch a cab back to where you need to be.
